Röthner Schlössle

Röthner Schlössle
Palace
Residence in the upper village of Röthis, also called "Röthner Schlössle".
Schlößlestraße 31
6832 Röthis
Austria
The manor house was probably built in the 16th century by the patrician family of Litscher from Feldkirch. Before 1623 it passed into the possession of the Frey von Schönstein family, and from 1777 to 1836 it served as the residence of the Clessin family from Feldkirch. From 1836, the Röthner Schlössle was owned by farmers until it was acquired by the municipality of Röthis in 1981. Since 1989, the Röthner Schlössle has been renovated and is the seat of the municipal administration and the registry office.

The three-storey rectangular building made of quarry stones has a two-storey roof truss, which has been dated back to 1607. On the south façade is a painted sundial with the coats of arms of the Litscher-Breysach and Fey von Schönstein families, dated 1676.
